Iran has unveiled its latest military asset, the IRIS Shahid Bagheri, a powerful new drone carrier warship designed to enhance its naval capabilities.
The ship, named after a martyred IRGC commander, features a 180-meter-long runway, capable of launching and recovering drones, helicopters, and even small combat vessels.
This advanced warship can carry several squadrons of unmanned aircraft and is equipped with air defense systems, subsurface vessels, and cruise missiles, making it a formidable presence in the Persian Gulf.
Iran's military leadership has emphasized that the IRIS Shahid Bagheri will play a key role in extending the nation's influence and security in distant waters, as tensions in the region continue to rise.
The ship is set to revolutionize Iran's defense strategy, allowing for extended deployments without refueling, and further establishing its growing naval strength.
Iranian forces struck a major blow against Jaish al-Adl in restive Sistan-Baluchestan, killing 13 terrorists linked to the deadly August 22 attack on police patrols in Iranshahr. The joint operation by Iran’s Law Enforcement Command (FARAJA), intelligence, and security units also recovered large caches of weapons and ammunition. Five Iranian police officers were killed in the August ambush, while a July courthouse attack claimed six lives. Authorities allege the terror group, based near Pakistan, has links to foreign intelligence services.
